A questionnaire-based study of men after orchidectomy for testicular cancer. 
Adshead, B. Khoubehi,  J. Wood and G. Rustin BJU Int (2001), 88, 559-562

The article concluded:
All Men undergoing orchidectomy should be offered a testicular implant, irrespective of age. Sample implants in all sizes should be available in the outpatient department. This will give men realistic expectations and allow them to choose a suitable size implant. The dimensions of the  implants should be elliptical prosthesis, to avoid dissatisfaction with the shape.
